WILLEMSTAD – On Saturday, December 13, 2026, a special ceremonial toast marked the official opening of the Carnival 2026 competition season. The event brought together participants, organizers, and partners for the first formal moment of the new carnival cycle.
During the gathering, all participants were given the opportunity to address those present, share their personal motivations, and express their passion for Carnival. The speeches highlighted the strong commitment and enthusiasm that characterize the island’s carnival tradition.
Following the presentations, three winners were selected, representing the first official milestone in the Carnival 2026 election season. The winners were announced in the following categories: King and Queen Tiner Brindó, awarded to Duo #1 Gilliandro Minguel and Djitza Blanken; Prince and Pancho Brindó, awarded to Duo #1 Damir Francisco and Rodangelo De la Cruz; and Reina Brindó, awarded to participant #2 Quwena Afra Paulina.
On behalf of the Carnival organization, Beehives, IBFF, and all branding partners, organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who participated, attended, and contributed to the successful launch of the season.
The organizers emphasized that preparations are now fully underway, with all parties working together toward a strong, well-organized, and unforgettable Carnival 2026.
