WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2002 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 102 of them were positive. 119 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1449.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 33 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 25 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 10 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 5 patients have died, 1 was in the hospital, 2 at a nursing home, and 2 at home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 242.
