WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2246 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 108 of them were positive. 125 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1206.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 16 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 16 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 10 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 person has died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 248.
