WILLEMSTAD - 11 percent of civil servants have expressed interest in the Early Voluntary Retirement (VVV). Of the 700 eligible civil servants, 325 are interested in taking early retirement.
According to this calculation, with the departure of these 325 employees, a shrinkage in the civil service could take place by 11 percent. This is evident from the advice of the Social Economic Council on the scheme.
