WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 3573 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 1107 of them were positive. 345 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 9979.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 33 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 31 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. 11 patients are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 2 patients have died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 199.
