WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1805 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 116 of them were positive. 168 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1389.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 19 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 4 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 18 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 8 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 4 patients have died, 1 at home, 1 in a nursing home and 2 in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 246.
