WILLEMSTAD - According to the director of the Curaçao Electoral Office Raymond "Pacheco" Römer, there will be some 116,000 eligible voters in Curaçao in the March 2021 elections. New parliamentary elections are scheduled for March 19 next year.
Römer spoke in parliament yesterday about the plans for the establishment of an independent Electoral Council that can operate completely independently of politics. This council is responsible for organizing elections. Currently, the Electoral Council is still part of the Ministry of Administration, Planning and Services.
