WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2137 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 130 of them were positive. 504 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 2767.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 25 imported cases. After more investigation, it became known that 2 cases were registered incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 49 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 12 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 3 patients have died in the hospital.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 225.
