WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2048 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 146 of them were positive. 171 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1471.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 26 imported cases. After more investigation, it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 27 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 11 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 3 patients have died,2 were in the hospital and 1 at home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 237.
