WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 2136 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 156 of them were positive. 207 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 1500.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 23 imported cases. After more investigation it became known that 3 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 30 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 11 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 2 patients have died, both at a nursing home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 234.
