22 Curaçao ribbons, but no ceremony

Local | By Correspondent April 24, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - King Willem Alexander has awarded 22 ribbons to Curaçao residents this year.

These people have worked for years in areas such as art and culture, Sail Curaçao, the Red Cross, the church community, community centers from Bándariba to Bándabou and sports and youth work.

Due to the corona crisis, there will be no official ceremony. Normally, the governor awards the royal decorations. It is not yet known when this will happen.

There is also no King's Day this year. The governor will give a speech on national television on Monday April 27.
