WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1500 people who were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 29 of them resulted positive. 26 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 366.
According to the epidemiology department, 5 imported cases were detected. After more investigation it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC): 32 cases are in the hospital. 14 COVID-related cases are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 person that was in the hospital has died. The person had COVID, but was not hospitalized due to corona symptoms and the cause of death is also not related to COVID.
