324 illegal Venezuelans sent back until August

WILLEMSTAD, THE HAGUE - The Dutch Undersecretary of the Interior and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops writes in a letter to the First Chamber of the Dutch Parliament (Senate) that, according to the Curaçao authorities, 324 Venezuelan migrants were deported to their country of origin in the first seven months of 2019.

These Venezuelans were on the island without a valid residence permit.

In 2018 and 2017 there were 824 and 1203 respectively deported. In addition, this year 52 Venezuelans filed an official objection to their deportation. In 2018 and 2017, there were 16 and 8 respectively.
