WILLEMSTAD - The court will rule this week on the request of a group of lawyers to release 33 undocumented Venezuelans.
The group is now in the foreigners’ barracks, but according to the group of lawyers, the circumstances are not adequate. They, therefore, demand immediate release.
The 33 were told by the European Court of Human Rights last week that they do not need to be returned for the time being. According to government lawyers, they can stay in the barracks simply because they get all the basic needs there. The judge in the case went to see the barracks with his own eyes on Friday and will give a ruling later this week.
