WILLEMSTAD – The police have arrested a 36-year-old woman in connection with two burglaries that took place in November at the Omni store on F.D. Rooseveltweg and a home on the Piscaderaweg. The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into the break-in at the Omni branch in Sta. Maria, where several items were stolen.
The woman was taken into custody at around 9:00 a.m. at a residence on Sto. Domingoweg. Earlier that morning, the Atrako Team, together with the Arrest Team, carried out a court-ordered house search at an address in Julianadorp. During the search, officers discovered items that the police say are relevant to the investigation.
The suspect, identified as J.M.A.M.A., born in Curaçao, was presented to a duty prosecutor, who ordered her continued detention pending further investigation.
