WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1323 people that were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 4 of them were positive. 10 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections remains at 98.
According to the epidemiology department, there was 1 imported case. After more investigation it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 4 COVID-related patients are in the hospital. 2 patients are in the ICU. 1 of the patients in the ICU is from St. Maarten. Unfortunately, 1 person that was in the ICU has died.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 180.
