404 dogs sterilized at project RPC and FFF

Local | By Correspondent May 27, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - 404 dogs were spayed or neutered during the neutering project of Rescue Paws Curacao (RPC) and Feed Friends Foundation (FFF). Volunteers worked with a team of vets for ten days to reach the target of 400 dogs.

The action took place at Sjoerd de Groot's practice and is intended to reduce the overpopulation of dogs on the island. The dogs had a heart tattooed in the ear after surgery. In this way it can be quickly seen in the future whether a dog has already been helped or not.

RPC chairman Mirjan Seppenwoolde looks back with satisfaction on the past week and a half. “More dogs had been brought in, but some were too young to be spayed. One dog was not operated on because it was too weak," said Seppenwoolde

The organization thanks all volunteers and veterinarians for their hard work and unbridled commitment. The action went well.
