WILLEMSTAD - During a major traffic check on Caracasbaaiweg (Caracas Bay Road), near Burger King, 123 cars were checked on Friday evening.
The action took place in cooperation between the police, together with the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
The check took place between seven in the evening and midnight. A total of 41 motorists were fined, for example for driving without car tax, car insurance or a valid driver's license. But also, for driving without a seatbelt. Various drivers were checked for alcohol consumption, three people were fined for this.
Parents were also fined for driving around with a child who was sitting in the front.
