WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1516 people that were tested for the COVID-19 virus, 42 of them were positive. 144 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 424.
According to the epidemiology department, there were 8 imported cases. After more investigation, it became known that 1 case was recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) until this morning: 8 COVID-related patients are in the hospital, 4 of them are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 1 person has died in a nursing home.
The total COVID-related death since the beginning of the pandemic is 261.
