WILLEMSTAD - The epidemiology department reports that out of 1773 people who were tested today for the COVID-19 virus, 43 of them resulted positive. 56 cases were taken out of isolation. The total number of active infections is now 476.
According to the epidemiology department, 3 cases are imported. After more investigation, it became known that 2 cases were recorded incorrectly. The necessary adjustments have been made.
The situation at the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC): 36 cases are in the hospital. 20 COVID-related cases are in the ICU. Unfortunately, 2 persons have died, one at home and one in the hospital. This makes the total deaths since the beginning of the pandemic 142.
