THE HAGUE - The government is allocating 5 million euros for the Caribbean Netherlands to alleviate rising energy prices. That is what the Dutch cabinet decided today.
How the compensation will be paid has yet to be worked out. This will be done in consultation with the governments of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.
Energy prices have risen sharply worldwide because of the war in Ukraine.
