WILLEMSTAD - The budget of the Curacao Tourist Board (CTB) has been reduced considerably. The most important tourism organization on the island must make do with 6 million guilders less, a 20 percent reduction on their budget.
It is not yet known what consequences this will have for the organization. The CTB also continued to promote the island during the corona crisis, hoping to attract more tourists again this year with the prospect of the vaccine.
CTB director Paul Pennicook has not yet commented on the budget cut.
