WILLEMSTAD - 608 civil servants are asked to voluntarily retire early. Minister Armin Konket of Planning and Administration announced this recently.
This is a group that should have already retired, but is still employed due to a change in the law.
The minister is prepared to make an offer for departure for this group. Slimming the civil service is one of the goals in the growth agreement.
