WILLEMSTAD - The Dutch and Curaçao governments have started preparations for large-scale renovations to school buildings. The Netherlands has made some 30 million euros available for these renovations, which amounts to 62 million guilders.
Before the corona crisis, 2 million guilders a year was available from Foundation Maintenance School Buildings Curacao for adjustments to school buildings. The large-scale renovations will start next year. The implementation will be done by the Caribbean Organ for Reform and Development (COHO), a development body established to help Curaçao through the corona crisis.
