WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao government must cut 112 million guilders in the coming five months. That is around 750,000 guilders per day.
The figures come from the Royal Decree in which the budgetary instruction from the Kingdom Council of Ministers is arranged. In 2012, when the Schotte government received a designation, 140 million guilders had to be cut.
Next year and the following year, substantial cuts will have to be made to make up for the deficits of 2017 and 2018.
