WILLEMSTAD - Residents of Richardushuis have since this Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, three new bath chairs and a medical examination table.
This donation resulted after a chance conversation with the location supervisor of Richardushuis Winmarth Martha.
Their reaction was one of much joy for these gifts.
Mr. Martha said to be very happy with the donation because this donation will facilitate the tasks of the nurses and also for the residents who they will be able to continue to give the good service.
Nurse Tiffany Lovert expressed enthusiastically that the donation was a real surprise.
'You cannot imagine how much work we have and how much effort goes in to taking good care of our elders. These bath chairs will make our work easier and so we can also give more of the best of us.'
Resident pastor Plata emotionally spoke of this generosity, the goodness in giving and how it is so necessary especially in these times, that we can be grateful that there are people sharing.
Richardushuis has served the community of Curaçao rightly during the last 66 years and many older men and women got good care there.
The institute houses at this moment 65 clients some for day care others permanently.
Mr. Martha finally expressed his gratitude again for the donation that will help them under any circumstance to serve those who one day served the community.
