WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday, a diverse group of professionals in Curaçao officially received their certificates from the Postgraduate Program in Behavioral Change, an intensive course developed by the Behavior Change Group from the Netherlands. During the program, participants delve into the psychology behind human behavior and learn how to achieve sustainable behavior change through scientifically grounded methods—knowledge that is essential for both organizational development and addressing societal challenges.
The graduates include marketers, communication specialists, HR professionals and changemakers. Over the course of several months, they worked on their own practical case studies, learning how to analyze behavior, identify underlying psychological drivers, and design and implement effective behavioral interventions.

Importance for Curaçao
Like many countries, Curaçao faces complex challenges related to health, sustainability, financial resilience, organizational change and social engagement. What these issues have in common is that they all require behavior change. A solid understanding of human behavior is therefore crucial. As emphasized in the program: “Every change starts with human behavior. If you want to change behavior, you must first understand what drives people.”
With this new cohort of behavioral change specialists, Curaçao now has a growing group of professionals equipped to apply this knowledge within their respective fields.
New Group Planned for 2026
If there is sufficient interest, a new edition of the program will start in Curaçao in the spring of 2026. Professionals working in communication, policymaking, sustainability, HR, education, healthcare, social development, or others with an interest in behavior change can send a WhatsApp message to Myrthe George-Verhulst at +599 9 540 2923 to be among the first to receive updates about the start of the 2026 program.
