WILLEMSTAD - Several unions announced that they will hold a protest today at the Waaigat in the Punda area. They invited their members to be at that location at 11 a.m. The protest is against the plans of the Netherlands to set up a Caribbean Reform Entity under strict conditions. The unions believe that the conditions are disadvantageous for Curaçao.
Yesterday there was a roadblock in Parera for much of the day. There was protests against the high petrol prices and the poor quality of fuel. But also against the strict conditions that the Netherlands wants to impose, according to the protesters.
