WILLEMSTAD - According to director Cenaida Panneflek, the Advent Hospital could do more. But the hospital is hardly involved in consultations about the medical situation on the island and does not receive an answer from the minister to its questions.
According to director Panneflek, Advent has not been assigned to help corona patients. But there are also no regular patients referred from the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) for elective care. Advent could play a role in this. For example, the hospital has an excellent MRI scan. But Advent is always being overlooked, Panneflek said during a press conference this morning.
The director also answered the question as to why no Advent personnel are involved in the CMC for corona control. According to Panneflek, there has been a request. But the minister never answered a question from the hospital under what conditions they could lend their doctors and nurses. Advent says it deeply regrets this situation.
