WILLEMSTAD - Inmates in the SDKK prison complain about the meals they are served daily. According to the prisoners, the food has a foul smell and sometimes even contains bugs. The prison kitchen has not been in use for over a year. That is why a private company has been hired to prepare three meals for about 500 prisoners every day. The prison management is now looking for a solution until the prison kitchen can be used again.
At the beginning of this year there were also complaints about the food in prison, when fly eggs were found in the meals.
