WILLEMSTAD - It just will not work to get a verdict in the appeal of the Clean Air Everywhere foundation.
The environmental organization litigated against the government because it does not set proper environmental standards for the oil refinery. In First Instance, the environmental group was proved right by the judge. It was prohibited to exceed the existing World Health Organization (WHO) standards from 1 September 2020. But the government appealed.
The Court was to deliver a verdict on January 12, which was postponed to February 9 and then yesterday. The new ruling date is now Tuesday April 6.
