WILLEMSTAD - The degree of air pollution in Curaçao rose this morning to the unhealthy level of 159. This is due to the large wave of Sahara dust blowing over the island.
The Caribbean Weather Center reported this. At this level, the air quality is harmful to everyone. The weather center expects the figure to drop during the day to a level where it will only harm people with respiratory problems.
These people are advised to stay indoors, it is best for healthy people to limit their activities outdoors.
