WILLEMSTAD - George Jamaloodin's law team started the defense yesterday. Two days have been allocated for this.
According to Dutch lawyer Stijn Franken, all accusations against the former minister are, after all, nothing more than speculation. According to the Public Prosecution Service, Jamaloodin has ordered the murder of former Member of Parliament and popular politician Helmin Wiels in 2013.
Lawyer Franken believes that the Public Prosecution has tunnel vision in this case. He states, for example, that many other scenarios have not been investigated and the lawyer emphasizes that the former minister left politics in 2013 and had no reason to have Helmin Wiels murdered.
In addition to lawyer Franken, who successfully defended Lucia de B. in the Netherlands, the defendant's law team consists of Eldon "Peppie" Sulvaran, Athena Sulvaran, Mirto Muray and Rutsel Martha.
