WILLEMSTAD - According to Asosashon di Musiko i Artista die Kòrsou (AMAK), the tumba festival will continue in 2022. The festival will take place from January 31 to February 4 at the Festival Center in Brievengat.
The crisis team stated last week that major events can take place if the visitors are fully vaccinated and in possession of a QR code. “And so it means that as far as we're concerned, the festival will continue as usual,” said AMAK. The organization will scan the QR code of visitors at the entrance.
Minister Sithree van Heydoorn of Education, Science, Culture and Sport previously announced that the carnival parades will not take place in 2022. Recently, Henny Reinilia, on behalf of the Asosashon Gruponan di Karnaval kòrsou (AGKK), indicated that a permit for the parade has been applied for.
