WILLEMSTAD - On Thursday December 16, Mrs. Oudshoorn-Tinga, director Amnesty International Netherlands and Ms. Boff-Tonella paid a visit to the Acting Governor of Curaçao, Her Excellency Michele Russel-Capriles.
During the visit, among other things, the situation of the Venezuelans seeking protection in Curaçao as described in the report "Still not safe" was discussed. Ideas were exchanged, among other things, about the ways in which improvements can be made in the treatment of asylum seekers in Curaçao and the possibilities of invoking cooperation within the Kingdom in this regard.
