Amnesty wants to speak again with parliament and government of Curaçao about human rights in March

Local | By Correspondent February 18, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Amnesty International wants to try to discuss the recently published research into the reception of Venezuelans with the Curaçao Parliament in March.

The request lies with Parliament President Charetti America-Francisca. Earlier it was not possible to sit down with the Curaçao government. During the visit of State Secretary Alexandra van Huffelen last week, Prime Minister Pisas indicated that he did want to talk to Amnesty.

Amnesty has now submitted another request to the Prime Minister. Both parliament and the Prime Minister have not yet responded. The planned visit was to take place from March 13 to 19.
