WILLEMSTAD - The Member of Parliament for the coalition party PAR Ana-Maria Pauletta is likely to become the new president of the Curaçao parliament. Her party nominated her as a replacement for William Millerson.
He will soon have to go abroad for medical treatment. Millerson will remain as a parliamentarian. Parliament will vote tomorrow on the chairmanship of Pauletta.
Pauletta is currently the faction leader of the PAR group in parliament. Stephen Walroud will assume that position as Pauletta becomes chairman. Eugene Cleopa of coalition partner MAN remains the parliament’s deputy chairman.
