WILLEMSTAD - Two catering establishments have been closed this week by the multidisciplinary team. That was announced yesterday.

The team, consisting of police officers and employees of the Ministry of Economic Development, still carries out checks to see if the catering industry is complying with the corona measures. On the Kaya Wladimir “Coco” Balentien a bar was closed that sold illegal lottery tickets and could not show that they had an economic permit.

The other business that was closed is in the Montaña Abou district. There, bottles were filled with alcohol illegally and sold to customers. The business was also still open after the mandatory closing time of 8 pm.

The owners of both businesses have been fined. The multidisciplinary team has announced that it will continue with the inspections of catering establishments.
