WILLEMSTAD - Hushang Ansary's lawyers have tried to end the lawsuit against Ansary through the government. However, the government has not followed up on this. Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas replied to questions from member of Member of Parliament for the opposition party MAN, former Minister oe Economic Development Giselle McWilliam.
In the weeks leading up to the hearing of the lawsuit between the Central Bank and the owner of Parman International, contacts took place between members of the Pisas government and Ansary's lawyers. They wanted the government to mediate to end the lawsuit.
The government spokesman at the time denied that the talks had anything to do with the lawsuit but not the prime minister himself, during a parliamentary debate, admits that the meeting had to do with the case against the former owner of the insurance company ENNIA.
