WILLEMSTAD - Aqualectra continued its operation to provide all almost 33,000 street lamps with LED lighting. Last weekend, the electricity company started at the Ergilio Hato roundabout, in the direction of Pater Eeuwensweg and Helmin Wiels Boulevard. The light trajectory will end at the Roberto Beto Adamus roundabout.
The replacement operation follows a large number of test projects, such as Weg naar Westpunt, at Malpais, Schottegatweg Oost and Emancipatie Boulevard.
This coming Sunday, the project will continue at the intersection of Arubastraat and Hoogstraat, towards and over the Juliana Bridge to the exit at Scharloo.
The work always starts at 08:00 am to 4:00 pm. Because part of the street lighting is in the middle between the carriageways, traffic in both directions will be affected by the replacement operation.
