WILLEMSTAD - The management of Aqualectra today denied that sabotage was the cause of Curaçao having to deal with three long-term blackouts at the end of last year.
The company is thus responding to reports in this morning's newspaper Vigilante. According to the morning paper, this had emerged from an internal investigation.
Aqualectra in turn states that two investigations are being conducted; one from the company itself and one from the government. According to Aqualectra, it cannot be concluded from both investigations that there is sabotage.
