WILLEMSTAD - Today, between half past seven in the morning and noon, work is being done on the Aqualectra safety system.
The water and electricity company announced this yesterday. The work will have no consequences for the electricity supply, the company claims.
In the past four weeks, Curaçao had four long-term blackouts. The reason for this was said that the safety system switched off the power supply too quickly as a protection mechanism. This happened when changes came to the network.
Aqualectra wants to make more radical changes to the safety system on Sunday. More information about this will follow, the company says.
