WILLEMSTAD - CASHA (Curaçao Apartments & Small Hotels Association) has appointed Armand Griffith and former chairman Rudi Valter as honorary members during the general members' meeting.
Armand was one of the co-founders of CASHA. He went missing in August 2020 during a walk in the salt pans of Sint Willibrordus. The lifeless body of 72-year-old Griffith was found days later. “Armand was loved inside and outside the organization and was recognized for his positive input,” said CASHA.
Former chairman Rudi Valter was also made an honorary member. Valter has been a member of CASHA since 2004 and took up the position as chairman in 2005. Valter was known as a go-getter and bon vivant.
A watercolor portrait painted by Jan Francke was presented to the families on behalf of the board and members.
