WILLEMSTAD - The Project Management Organization (PMO) of Refineria di Korsou (RdK) has a new chairman. PMO oversees the search for a new operator of the Isla refinery, under the name 'Project Arawak'.
The transition took place in silence. Eveline Kruithof-Bor has transferred the chair of the organization to Arthur Gevers. Documents available show that in addition to Gevers, Patrick Newton, Alberto 'Chos' Romero and Edward Jesus are part of the team. Jessica Russel-Lucasius, like Kruihof-Bor, is no longer part of PMO.
The Council of Ministers agreed to the 'reorganization' of the PMO team. Sale of the refinery is less desirable according to the ministerial decision. The aim is now to find a party that offers a long-term solution for the continuation of the facilities.
