ORANJESTAD, PHILIPSBURG - In the meantime 1160 active infections with the corona virus have been detected in Aruba. Sint Maarten currently has 244 active infections.
Yesterday, sixty new cases were added in Aruba. Twenty thousand of the 100,000 inhabitants have now been tested, which is 20 percent, which can be called considerable. Seven people are in intensive care and 17 people in the normal hospital ward.
Twelve new cases of Covid-19 were added to Sint Maarten’s total. Of the 244 active infections, eight patients are in hospital.
Curaçao currently has twelve infections. The borders between Aruba and Curaçao have now been closed and travel to Sint Maarten is also prohibited.
