ORANJESTAD, WILLEMSTAD - The last corona patient from Curaçao in the Dr. Horacio E. Oduber Hospital in Aruba is back in Curaçao. The hospital reports this in a statement.
At its peak there were nine patients from Curaçao in the Aruban hospital. "When the question came to show solidarity with our sister islands, there was no doubt for a moment to welcome their patients with open arms, even though the hospital in Aruba was already quite full at that time," says Aruban intensivist Benjamin Croes.
"It is an honor to reach out and offer a lending hand in uncertain times and we hope that this is a start to more collaborations between the islands," said the hospital's Board of Directors.
