WILLEMSTAD - From 1 September, fishermen must use an identity card to enter the fishing port on the Caracas Bay. This was announced by the Department of Agricultural and Fisheries Management (AVB) of the Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature (GMN).
The AVB tells boat owners that the harbor is only there to drop off the boat in the water and leave. Boat owners who leave their boat at the harbor have now received a letter with the request to remove it. Boats that remain in the harbor will be towed away by AVB at the owner's expense.
The AVB emphasizes that owners have been given a period of two months to remove the boats.
