WILLEMSTAD - On social media there are messages circulating regarding surcharges when withdrawing cash from ATMs from other local banks with the new Mastercard Debit Card of Banco di Caribe (BdC). The bank herewith informs that its clients’ accounts are NOT charged for any additional costs. “We are handling this with the other banks, who are fixing the message that you receive in error on their ATM screen.”
The bank says that they are also aware that payment machines of other local banks are not yet updated to accept our their Mastercard Debit Card. While they are working towards a solution, they offer the business owners a Banco di Caribe payment machine to accommodate their customers.
