KRALENDIJK - Starting tomorrow, Bonaire will increase the risk level from 1 to 2. This is because the number of infections has been increasing again recently and because of the presence of the delta variant on the island.
Lieutenant Governor Edison Rijna states that especially unvaccinated residents run a greater risk of becoming seriously ill. Rijna asks everyone to be extra careful. Bonaire currently has 16 active corona infections and there are no corona patients in hospital.
The increased risk means that singing and dancing is no longer allowed on Bonaire. Restaurants and gyms must also register their visitors again.
