BONECO and Curaçao Beverage Bottling Company sign new collective labor agreement

Local | By Press release May 31, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - Recently, the board of Curaçao Beverage Bottling Company (CBBC) and the trade union BONECO again renewed the collective labor agreement and extended it until 2025.

“The content of the collective labor agreement is modern and future-proof,” said Mr Koense, trade union leader at BONECO. He continues, “Considering current developments in our local economy and global developments, the conversations have not always been easy, but we came together in good faith, openness and unity. Both the management of CBBC and BONECO are convinced that this is an improvement for all employees of the soft drink factory”. Mr. Andrew Pinedo, Managing Director at CBBC, adds that "despite the difficult times, the organization is not only investing in 'upgrading' the company itself, but also continues to invest in its employees". “After all, they are the beating heart of the organization,” said Pinedo.

140 years of service

The fact that staff members are satisfied to work for CBBC is also apparent from the number of jubilees who were put in the spotlight during the festive gathering. Messrs Fenly Selebon; Charlton Poulo and Mikel Wederfoort have been employed for 25 years. Eric Paulina; Robert Daantje had started at the company 30 years ago and Edwin Thielman celebrated 35 years ago when he started working for Coca-Cola.
